Collaborations & Fundraising

I love being part of a community.

My neighbourhood community, my arts community, supporting causes I believe in, supporting local businesses and representing my country through art all inspire me to create. Connecting, collaborating and helping organizations I believe in feeds my creative process and sense of belonging as an artist.

Camp Ooch

I am often asked to make donations of art and this donation was very meaningful.

The kids and families who attend Camp Ooch are united by a common bond of childhood cancer. My paddle depicted the magical moment of the sun rising and the sun setting on a camper’s red canoe.

Moorlands Kids

Moorelands Kids is an innovative children’s charity empowering kids from low-income Toronto neighbourhoods to transform their lives. Since 1912, it has helped 135,841 kids. From 2015, a small group of cottagers has organized and held a number of events to raise funds in support of Moorelands Kids. One of those events is the not-to-be-missed Starry Summer Night Auction which supports Moorelands Camp on Kawagama Lake. The Auction features a wide variety of cottage goods and fun experiences to bid on to help them reach their goal of $50,000.

This painting was one of the items up for grabs!

For the past 4 years, I have collaborated with The Ottawa Hospital in raising funds in memory of my nephew through The Craig Kulig Memorial Fund. In the process, we are helping raise awareness of Cancer Research being done by the team at the Hospital.
